Our weekly sessions are invaluable in terms of grasping the material better, learning from each other and getting deeper into the Scriptures. They are also times where relationships are formed and where we value each other’s insights and contributions.
We have some values in how we would like keep a healthy culture during our tutorial sessions:
Punctuality – We always begin and end on time.
Preparation – Please come prepared for your homework, as it adds to the depth and quality of the discussion.
Participation – Please engage, ask questions and challenge things! Don’t sit and say nothing, we value everyone’s input.
Authenticity – These times are more than just about learning theology. We want to get to know each other. Please feel free to share your struggles, testimonies and life experiences, where it is appropriate.
Respect – Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion and share that opinion. At the same time everyone is entitled to debate with one another if they disagree. At the end of the day we are free to agree to disagree with each other on the course material and theological points.
The Bible is our final authority in all matters - Ultimately we will view the Bible as the highest authority and any point may be debated provided you can back up your argument from the Bible.
